Reported about 1 year ago
In Wayne County, Missouri, USA, a fisherman caught a strange fish resembling a python, identified by the Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC) as a Northern Snakehead Fish that has been spreading across the US and threatening ecosystems. The fourth reported incident of the fish's presence in the area, experts warn of its ability to survive out of water for days and urge people to kill them on sight to prevent further spread. Originating from China, North Korea, and Russia, these fish became invasive in the US after a farming accident in 2008 led to a population explosion, damaging local ecology.
