Inventory Replenishment Wave Boosts Passive Components Manufacturers' Utilization Rates in the Second Half

Reported 8 months ago

As inventory clearance comes to an end and the traditional peak season in the third quarter approaches, passive components manufacturers are gearing up for an increase in utilization rates in the second half of 2024. Giants like Yageo, Walsin Technology, Shenzhen Esuntek, and Chilisin are expected to see higher utilization rates than the first half, aiming to reduce fixed costs and boost profit performance. With the depletion of channel, OEM, and end-customer inventories, the industry anticipates a one-quarter extension of the inventory replenishment wave, especially with the upcoming peak demand season for smartphones in the second half of the year, driving further growth in production rates for passive components.
