On June 7, 2024, 12 listed financial holdings announced their profits for May this year, benefiting from the capital market's performance in investment gains and dividends. Most financial holdings saw their monthly profits rise, with a total of nearly 2.4 trillion NT dollars earned collectively in the first five months. It is expected that after the earnings of Cathay Financial Holding and Fubon Financial Holding are revealed next week, the overall profits of 14 financial holdings will likely surpass 2.5 trillion NT dollars, reaching a historical high. Four financial holdings have crossed the 10 billion NT dollar profit mark in May, including First Financial, Yuanta Financial, E. Sun Financial, and Shin Kong Financial, bringing the total to eight financial institutions.
