On June 25, 2024, at 3:51 am, police raided a drug packaging site in Taichung, where suspects were using images of heroes like Iron Man and Black Panther to package drugs for attracting customers. The Criminal Bureau received a tip-off about a 33-year-old man surnamed Lin in the Wuri area who was renting a tin house to package and sell drug-laced coffee, with over 2,000 packets worth millions confiscated. Five suspects including Lin were arrested after three rounds of investigations, with the case being processed legally. Lin and cohorts targeted the youth market by packaging drugs with superhero logos to increase sales appeal. The police operation also led to the capture of drug production materials and tools. Authorities continue to hunt down other accomplices involved in the case.
