The Taiwan island climate is humid, leading many households to have dehumidifiers. Instead of disposing of the water collected by dehumidifiers, it can actually be reused. The water can be used for watering plants and mopping, but it is not recommended for consumption due to potential contamination from dust, dirt particles, pollen, and possible microbial growth in the water tank. Economic Affairs Ministry's Water Resources Agency advises against drinking dehumidifier water and suggests using it for other purposes like gardening and cleaning instead.
