Intel's stock has dropped nearly 30% following the announcement of a major cost reduction plan and poorer-than-expected earnings, leading to speculation about its potential removal from the Dow Jones Industrial Average. Although it is currently the smallest component of the index, market analyst Paul La Monica believes that a decision regarding Intel's status might not occur until 2025. Other semiconductor companies like Qualcomm, Broadcom, and Nvidia could be considered as potential replacements.
