Is Su Zifeng wasting her talent by studying medicine? Doctor nods: Many talents wasted at NTU Medical, but also benefit many poor children

Reported about 1 year ago

Lisa Su, CEO of AMD, was interviewed in Taiwan where her father expressed concerns over her decision to study medicine at NTU, saying it may waste her talents. Psychiatrist Chen Zhengnan replied on Facebook, acknowledging that many talents are indeed wasted at NTU Medical, but it also benefits many underprivileged children. He explains that despite top students choosing medicine for stable careers, it may hinder potential groundbreaking scientists. He believes that with the right education and system in Taiwan, children can make great contributions, similar to Su Zifeng and Huang Renxun's impact as entrepreneurs in the country.
