Israel Adjusts Stance: Solution for Post-War Gaza Autonomy

Reported 12 months ago

According to The Jerusalem Post, three Israeli officials have disclosed that Prime Minister Netanyahu has privately adjusted his stance on the possibility of establishing a branch organization by the Palestinian Authority to govern the post-war Gaza Strip. While Netanyahu is initially against the Palestinian Authority taking over Gaza from Hamas, the deadlock in negotiations and the willingness of neighboring countries like the UAE, Qatar, and Egypt to offer aid in future plans may push him towards considering a plan where moderate groups like Fatah take over the governance. This potential shift aims to gain support for Israel's actions and promote peace in the region.
