Four Israeli hostages, including Almog Meir Jan who was kidnapped by Hamas, were recently rescued after 8 months in Gaza, but tragically, Almog's father passed away from a heart attack the day before the family was to reunite. Almog, now 22, was kidnapped after attending a music festival last October. The rescue operation led to casualties among Palestinians, causing controversy. Despite the successful rescue praised by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, there is criticism over the casualties and global calls to pressure Israel to stop military actions in Gaza.
