Israeli wartime cabinet minister Benny Gantz, who had publicly demanded Prime Minister Netanyahu to quickly outline a post-war plan last month, has now stepped down from his position and called for early elections. Gantz, belonging to the opposition National Union party, had urged the formation of a joint governing body with Israel, the US, Europe, and Middle Eastern nations to manage the Gaza Strip. Criticizing Netanyahu for hindering Israel's true victory, Gantz also urged the current defense minister to resign, proposing the establishment of a new government capable of winning people's trust and facing challenges, as his party previously submitted a bill to dissolve the Israeli parliament and hold early elections.
