In response to the popularity of their Italian egg tart, the bakery has faced issues with resellers and queue-jumpers. They clarified on Facebook that they do not collaborate with resellers or group buyers and are only available at selected bakeries in different regions. To address the issue, the bakery now distributes number plates at 11am daily, allowing customers to purchase based on their allocated time slot. They have also increased the availability of the egg tarts by randomly making them throughout the day for on-site purchase, limiting each customer to two tarts. Despite the challenges faced with resellers and queue-jumpers, the bakery remains flexible and avoids implementing strict regulations like real-name systems, and instead, utilizes the number plate system and on-site sales to ensure more consumers have the opportunity to taste the popular egg tarts.
