Italian prosecutors in Milan are investigating the supply chain of around a dozen fashion brands following a court administration placement for an LVMH-owned maker of Dior-branded handbags due to worker exploitation. The investigation uncovered illegal working conditions, including extended hours, workers sleeping on-site, and no regular contracts. Suppliers of other brands are now under investigation, with the appointment of special commissioners aimed at addressing issues in the supply chain. Neither LVMH nor Armani are under investigation in these cases.
