Italy's government has submitted a new 'National Energy and Climate Plan' to the EU, aiming to have at least 11% of the national electricity generation coming from nuclear power by 2050, marking the official restart of nuclear power in Italy after 34 years of non-nuclear policy. Taipei Mayor Chiang Wan-an emphasized the need for the government to address energy issues as it is crucial not only for public needs but also for industrial development, highlighting the importance of stable power supply. Chiang Wan-an stressed that the government must listen to local voices and needs in providing sufficient and stable electricity to meet public expectations.
