ITRI and SEMI Collaborate to Cultivate Sustainable Talent for Net Zero Emissions

Reported 8 months ago

In response to achieving global net zero emissions by 2050, the semiconductor industry plays a vital role, aiming to develop professionals who can assist in carbon reduction and contribute to the industry's growth while meeting carbon neutrality goals. Through a joint effort between SEMI International Semiconductor Industry Association, GESA Green Energy and Sustainable Development Alliance, and ITRI Industrial Technology Research Institute, the 'ITRI × SEMI Net Zero Sustainable Professional Talent Training' program is designed based on the Carbon Emission White Paper released by the Semiconductor Climate Coalition in 2023. The 36-hour course covers global net zero trends, ESG operational performance, practical application of mainstream carbon management digital platforms, and other key issues, aligning with SCC's carbon reduction pathway and featuring international and local experts. Participants who complete the full series and pass certification exams will receive dual certificates from ITRI and SEMI, with course hours being eligible for director and supervisor training credits.
