Ivanhoe Mines Starts Copper Concentrate Production at Kamoa-Kakula Phase 3 Concentrator

Ivanhoe Mines has initiated copper concentrate production at the Kamoa-Kakula mining complex's Phase 3 concentrator in the Democratic Republic of Congo, surpassing the design capacities of the Phase 1 and 2 concentrators by 30%. With plans for a Phase 4 concentrator, Ivanhoe aims to enhance processing capacity beyond 5mtpa and increase metallurgical copper recovery rates from 87% to 95% in the Phase 1 and 2 concentrators. The company is also advancing a large drilling program on its Western Foreland license package.
