According to J.D. Power's latest EV consideration study, 24% of car shoppers in the U.S. are 'very likely' to consider buying an electric vehicle (EV), with many exploring options beyond Tesla, including brands like Honda, Ford, and BMW. The study indicates consumers are now cross-shopping an average of 2.9 brands for EVs compared to two for gas cars. Despite potential challenges like the proposed elimination of the federal EV tax credit, interest in EVs remains strong as manufacturers expand their electric options.
