Johnson & Johnson has announced plans to spin off its orthopedics business into a separate company named DePuy Synthes within the next 18 to 24 months, alongside raising its 2025 sales forecast to $93.5 billion - $93.9 billion after reporting better-than-expected quarterly earnings. The orthopedics unit, which has contributed about 10% to J&J's revenue, will be separated as the company aims to focus on high-growth sectors like oncology and immunology.
