Jamie Dimon Advocates for Schools to Provide Proper Training for Students to Enter the Workforce

Reported 12 months ago

Jamie Dimon, the leader of America's largest bank, believes schools should do more to prepare students for the working world instead of relying on businesses to bridge the gap. He emphasized the importance of schools focusing on helping students launch careers after graduation rather than solely attending college. Dimon, who oversees over 240,000 employees globally, highlighted the need for certificates and training that lead to good jobs, stating that when schools do not provide this, it creates challenges for companies. Additionally, he rejected the idea that his efforts to get younger people and underrepresented communities into the workplace are related to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), emphasizing the need for fixing the system to uplift society.
