Allianz Taiwan Life, a subsidiary of Germany's Allianz Group, announced on June 28 that Jan-Joris Louwerier will be appointed as the new general manager starting August 1, replacing Lin Shun-tsai, who served for 11 years. Louwerier, with over 22 years of experience in insurance and financial services, will bring his expertise in product marketing, business operations, information technology, risk management, digital transformation, and mergers and acquisitions to lead Allianz Taiwan Life. He aims to continue driving business growth. Lin Shun-tsai, a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries, led the company to become a leading brand in the domestic investment-linked insurance market. Allianz Taiwan Life held a 18.8% market share in investment-type insurance total premium income in May 2024, maintaining its top position in the industry. With Louwerier at the helm, the focus will remain on deepening roots in the Taiwanese insurance market, expanding sales channels, advancing digital transformation, meeting diverse customer needs, and delivering quality service to continue on the path of becoming the most recommended and trusted life insurance company.
