After the conclusion of last year's G7 Hiroshima Summit, Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida (right) held talks with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy (left). According to Japanese reports, Japan and Ukraine will sign a bilateral document to strengthen assistance to Ukraine in coordination with the upcoming G7 summit in Italy from June 13 to 15. The document will specify that in the event of new Russian aggression, a bilateral consultation will be held within 24 hours. The leaders are set to discuss the signing of this bilateral document during the summit. This move is aligned with the G7's commitment to long-term security cooperation with Ukraine, allowing countries to exchange mutual support agreements beyond military aid. Japan's plan to increase involvement with Ukraine aims to emphasize the importance of continuous international support.
