Japan's competition watchdog, the Japan Fair Trade Commission (JFTC), has issued a cease and desist order to Google for engaging in anticompetitive practices by forcing smartphone makers to prioritize its services. This marks the first action against a U.S. tech giant by the JFTC. In response, Google expressed disappointment and stated it would collaborate with the commission to maintain competitiveness in the Android market.
