According to the Japanese National Tax Agency's announcement on July 1, 2024, Kumamoto Prefecture's 'roadside prices' along highways showed an average increase of 2.7% compared to the previous year, marking the largest surge since 2010 and the 7th consecutive year of growth. Among the tax offices in Kumamoto Prefecture, four offices saw the highest increases in land prices along highways, including 'Prefectural Road Yoshiyoshi Kumamoto Line' in Mitsunomori 3-chome, Kikuyo-cho. The land value in Kikuyo-cho rose by 24%, securing the 2nd spot in Japan for the second consecutive year, believed to be influenced by TSMC's presence. The demand for homes around the TSMC factory site remains high, further driving up property prices.
