Japan's factory activity in June remained at the same level as the previous month, according to a PMI survey by au Jibun Bank Japan. The index was at 50.0, indicating neither growth nor contraction. While output increased to a 13-month high, new orders remained in contraction due to weak demand, especially in auto and semiconductor sectors. Orders from abroad continued to decline, with companies facing higher costs for imported materials like copper and crude oil, leading to an increase in selling prices.
