According to Nikkei, Japan's Self-Defense Forces have been enhancing their defense capabilities in response to the perceived threat from China, with the Maritime Self-Defense Force conducting joint exercises with the Turkish Navy in the waters off the Kanto region. The number of countries engaging in bilateral training with Japan has doubled from 2023 to 14 this year. Amid China's growing military presence in the Indo-Pacific, various countries are intensifying cooperation with Japan, leading to more frequent joint military exercises around Japan.
