Japanese Baby Snack by Morinaga Seika Suspected of Contamination with Animal Feces

Taiwan Television News Website reported on June 28, 2024, at 10:45 am that a baby food safety issue has arisen! A well-known Japanese food manufacturer, Morinaga Seika, announced a voluntary recall of a baked snack intended for infants, with around 190,000 packages suspected of contamination with animal feces during the manufacturing process. While apologizing, Morinaga emphasized that no health risks have been confirmed so far. Taiwan's Food and Drug Administration has contacted the company to confirm the presence of the product in Taiwan and requested strict self-management from businesses. Taiwan's Morinaga stated that they were not directly involved in the production or sale of the product, advising consumers to contact the importer listed on the packaging for further assistance if purchased through other channels.
