Japan has seen an outbreak of the 'cannibal bacteria' epidemic, with nearly a thousand people infected by A-type streptococcus causing streptococcal toxic shock syndrome (STSS), 2.8 times the number from the same period last year, causing concern for many Taiwanese planning to travel there.
