According to Kyodo News Agency, Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida is planning to visit Germany in July and meet with German Chancellor Scholz to hold a leadership meeting. Both countries hope to discuss cooperation in the economic security field, such as building supply chains for semiconductors and essential materials. Discussions on providing aid to Ukraine due to Russia's aggression will also be on the agenda. Additionally, they will discuss issues related to China. Kishida is also scheduled to attend the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) summit in July and is currently adjusting his visit to Washington, D.C. It is anticipated that the Japan-Germany leadership meeting will cover topics such as the situation in Ukraine and security between the two countries.
