Japanese Princess Kako's Controversial Affordable Fashion Choice Revealed as Hand-Me-Down from Sister

Reported 8 months ago

Princess Kako, known as the 'most beautiful princess' of the Japanese imperial family, attracted attention for her affordable fashion choices during a visit to Greece in late May. It was revealed that the blue shirt and white pants she wore were actually hand-me-downs from her sister, Princess Mako, who has since left the imperial family. This choice of clothing has sparked criticism and concerns about etiquette, respect for the hosting country, and maintaining the neutrality of the royal family, with some speculating it may be seen as endorsing a particular brand. Princess Kako was also noted to have worn a blue knit top priced at only 2990 Japanese yen (about 617 New Taiwan dollars) that was previously worn by her sister during a visit to Bhutan in June 2017.
