Japanese shooter Keisei Funei, who recently ended his NCAA journey, continues to pursue his NBA dream. Despite limited interest in the draft, Funei secured an opportunity as he signed an 'Exhibit 10' contract with the Pacers according to ESPN. Funei, nicknamed the 'Japanese Curry,' excelled as one of the best shooters in the NCAA season, averaging 15.1 points with Nebraska. Currently unable to join the Pacers for the summer league due to prior commitments with Japan's national basketball team for the Olympics in Paris, Funei faces new challenges. The 'Exhibit 10' contract offers minimum salary with bonuses if the player transitions to the main roster or the G-League after being waived by the team. Funei becomes the third Japanese player after Rui Hachimura and Yudai Baba to sign an 'Exhibit 10' contract and the second for the Pacers this year, following Josiah-Jordan James from Tennessee.
