A shrine in Tsushima Island, Nagasaki Prefecture in Japan has posted a sign at the entrance stating 'South Korean visitors are prohibited', sparking discussions in South Korean media. The ban was imposed due to disruptive behavior by South Korean tourists such as dancing noisily, littering cigarette butts, and even getting into conflicts with shrine staff. The Watadzumi Shrine, with over a thousand years of history and a beautiful torii gate in the sea, has attracted many visitors, but recently decided to ban South Korean visitors following incidents of misbehavior and violence.
