Japanese snack manufacturer Morinaga announced a voluntary recall of 190,000 packs of its baked snack 'Morinaga Small Manju' (マンナボーロ) due to possible contamination with rat feces. This decision followed consumer reports of black residues in the product packaging, which were found to be suspected rat feces mixed into individual bags. There have been no reports of health damage yet, and Morinaga is investigating the incident, aiming to strengthen their quality management system.
