Japanese Toy Company Offers Incentives for Employees, Plans Salary Increase for New Hires

Reported 9 months ago

Takara Tomy, a well-known toy company in Japan, is implementing a 'birth and childcare reward' system where employees or their spouses receive a high bonus of 2 million yen (about 400,000 TWD) for each child born. In addition, the company is making significant personnel reforms starting on July 1, including abolishing seniority-based bonuses and irrelevant performance incentives, and increasing the starting salary for university graduates by 10,000 yen (4.3%) to 242,000 yen (about 48,000 TWD). This move is part of their 'people are important assets' vision, focusing on enhancing employee welfare and achieving sustainable growth.
