Recent fluctuations in the Japanese Yen have resulted in a favorable exchange rate for those planning to visit Japan, with the yen hitting a new low at 0.2063 NTD. This means that 100,000 NTD can be exchanged for 48.4 million yen, over 8,000 more than at the start of the year. However, experts suggest that the Bank of Japan currently has a low probability of raising interest rates, indicating that the cheap exchange rate may become a norm. As the yen continues to depreciate and with tourism picking up in Japan due to the attractive exchange rate, caution is advised for those planning trips in the short term.
