On June 26, 2024, the Taipei City Council passed a proposal for a concert at Taipei Dome. Singer Jay Chou, during an interview on June 25, expressed that he has freed up August for a possible concert but is waiting for Taipei Dome's response. Taipei City's Sports Bureau Director Wang Hong-xiang stated that there is indeed some urgency to the situation. The City Council will request the Taipei Dome to complete fire safety inspections and submit the necessary documentation, followed by a comprehensive review to ensure safety before any concert can proceed.
