On June 26, Deputy Speaker of the Legislative Yuan, Jiang Qi-chen, conducted a water conservancy inspection in Taichung, focusing on enhancing the overall environment around rivers and creating a new urban landscape. The plan includes developing a riverside park on the left bank of the Dajia River in Fengyuan, with strong support and commitment from the Water Resources Agency to revitalize the area. The proposed park aims to become a recreational space comparable to the famous Da Jia Riverside Park, offering facilities such as cycling paths, walking trails, playgrounds, and parking lots. Deputy Director of the Water Resources Agency, Wang Yi-feng, expressed willingness to assist in the project and expand the scope to include surrounding waterways after communicating with local authorities and considering local needs. Communication with farmers and initial feasibility planning will also be conducted in parallel.
