On June 28, 2024, Taipei City Government and Taipei City Police Department expanded the joint inspection operation of the 'Youth Project' led by Mayor Jiang Wan'an and Taipei City Police Chief Li Xihe. They caught 20 wanted criminals on the first day. Mayor Jiang emphasized the need to prevent gangs from recruiting youth during the summer vacation and highlighted the importance of regular visits and immediate resource provision for at-risk youth. The operation focused on locations such as entertainment venues and carried out inspections to promote fire safety and discourage drunk driving. The police also intensified efforts to combat drug-related crimes, fraud, organized crime, and crimes involving minors to safeguard youth safety.
