Joel Kim Booster, writer and star of the LGBTQ+ film "Fire Island" from 2022, has stated that he currently has no plans for a sequel to the movie. Despite the success and popularity of the film, Kim Booster is focusing on other projects and does not want to force a sequel without a genuine creative spark. He expressed a desire to continue making movies and shows with the same cast, and is currently working on a new feature film with Searchlight Pictures.
