Joey Wendle has signed a major league deal with the Atlanta Braves after being released by the Mets, staying in the NL East. Wendle, who struggled with physical and mental errors, was replaced by prospect Mark Vientos. This marks the third depth infielder to leave the Mets for division rivals, following Luis Guillorme and Zack Short this season.
