On June 30, 2024, Brandon Gilbeck from the Formosa Dreamers officially signed with the Basketball Association, becoming the third naturalized player for the Taiwan men's basketball team. Gilbeck, a 27-year-old foreign player with a height of 213cm, has joined PLG Dreamers since 2021 and has been a key player with impressive stats in the PLG league. With his signing, he follows Quincy Davis and William Artino as the third naturalized player for Taiwan's men's basketball team, just in time for the upcoming Jones Cup. The tournament will kick off on July 13, following the women's competition from July 6 to 10, all taking place at the Xinzhuang Gymnasium.
