Reported about 1 year ago
During the Jones Cup this year, there were reports of a controversy where male teams were allegedly receiving appearance fees while female teams were not, leading to gender inequality concerns. However, the Chinese Taipei Basketball Association's Deputy Secretary-General Chang Cheng Chung clarified that the rumors were untrue. The issue of appearance fees for female teams will be internally reviewed and officially addressed later. Discussions on player rights between the association and players' union had previously ensured that all adult teams, including male and female teams, receive appearance fees for commercial tournaments like the Jones Cup.
