Kabosu, the Japanese Shiba Inu known for becoming the face of Dogecoin, a popular cryptocurrency, has passed away at the age of 18. Kabosu's owner announced the news in a blog post, noting that the dog died peacefully in her sleep. Dogecoin, initially created as a satirical response to the crypto frenzy in 2013, gained significant value after endorsements from Tesla CEO Elon Musk. Musk's promotion of Dogecoin, including featuring Kabosu in various contexts, contributed to its market success, making it one of the top cryptocurrencies with a market capitalization of $23.6 billion.
