For the first time, Americans can legally bet on US election outcomes, with the predictions market platform Kalshi seeing over $200 million wagered on the race between Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump. Kalshi CEO Tarek Mansour noted a significant increase in demand, although average bet sizes on Trump are slightly lower than on Kamala. He affirmed that no manipulation is occurring in this closely contested presidential race.
