Kaoh Pokes Fun at Lai; Directs Him to Step Down If Necessary

Reported 12 months ago

Economic Minister Wu Zhin Hong responded to the issue of nuclear power extension in the Legislative Yuan, saying they would execute whatever passed by the legislature. Kaoh Wei-jei, chairman of the Taiwan People's Party, criticized if President Lai needs to step down, he should just say so. Kaoh pointed out the conflicting messages on nuclear power from officials, warning that the decommissioning of Reactor 1 of the Third Nuclear Power Plant in July could lead to power disruptions in July and August. Kaoh emphasized the need for the governing party to take a clear stance on nuclear power and make timely decisions on reactors.
