On June 14, 2024, the Kaohsiung City Land Administration Bureau announced the sale of 12 land parcels from the second quarter development areas, with a total reserve price exceeding 2.95 billion NT dollars. Real estate experts are optimistic as many of the lands are located in prime areas such as Zhongdu Rezoning Area, around Xiongzhong, and Kaohsiung University. With recent aggressive land purchases by developers in the south, it is believed that achieving high sale rates for these lands should not be difficult. The auction will take place on June 26, following a previous delay due to a request from the Ministry of the Interior to increase social housing land supply.
