According to SET News on June 27, 2024, a 24-year-old male college student surnamed Yang from Kaohsiung listened to fortune tellers and joined the student council, relentlessly pursuing a senior sister with messages for over a year, leading to a tragic outcome. Yang, advised by fortune tellers about his future wife's strong earning ability and a connection starting from 'labor and management' organizations, decided to pursue the senior sister within the student council. However, his actions distressed the female student, including sending a spirit marriage video and creating multiple fake accounts to harass her, prompting her to endure for over a year before reporting to the police. Yang was sentenced to 2 months in prison for violating the 'Stalking Act' with the option to pay a fine, with room for appeal.
