Kaohsiung Gas Station Uses Fake People for Guidance, Human Resources Bank Indicates Long-Term Labor Shortage

Reported 9 months ago

On June 28, 2024, at 7:52 am in Kaohsiung Daliao District, a gas station had fake employees wearing uniforms waving hands to guide customers, resembling real people closely. This raised suspicions of a labor shortage at the station, leading to the use of fake personnel. The station clarified that the fake figures were placed in the manned refueling area as a guide due to concerns about staff busyness. The Human Resources Bank found a long-term labor shortage at the gas station, with difficulties in attracting workers, especially for outdoor jobs under high temperatures. The station's location in Daliao District, away from the city center, and the migration of young people for work or study were contributing factors to the shortage.
