Reported 9 months ago
Kaohsiung Guogang Temple committee member Zeng Zhiyan was involved in a drug trafficking case, with law enforcement seizing nearly 2 kilograms of Class 1 and Class 2 drugs in searches of the temple and his residence. The Qiaotou District Court ruled Zeng's involvement as serious and with a risk of collusion, leading to his detention and restricted visitation. Zeng, known as a 'social media influencer chairman,' often collaborated with other influencers and artists to post videos of temple events on YouTube. The case was brought to light after Kaohsiung police received tips several months ago about drug-related activities at the temple, leading to a thorough investigation by a special task force and the Qiaotou District Prosecutor's Office.
