Kaohsiung's Hepolite Industrial Park, the first industrial park established in Taiwan under the Industrial Innovation Act, saw a rapid transformation with global economic recovery and the return of Taiwanese businesses, selling out quickly after construction. Prices have skyrocketed from less than NT$90,000 per ping at the launch to over NT$200,000 now. The city government will focus on leasing rather than selling industrial land in the future, as real estate developers believe that land prices in Kaohsiung have surged in recent years and are unlikely to return to previous levels.
