Around 11 pm on June 7, 2024, in Kaohsiung's Renwu District, a man surnamed Wu refused to break up with his 18-year-old girlfriend and went to her house after drinking, where her sister's 22-year-old husband surnamed Zheng and friends smashed his car with a baseball bat, leading to a physical altercation. Both parties were taken into custody for legal action. The incident stemmed from Wu's unwillingness to accept the breakup, and despite no ongoing disputes when the police arrived, they were charged with assault and property damage offenses.
