Kaohsiung Mayor Announces Doubling Prize Money for National Games Champions Next Year, Gold Medalists to Receive 40,000 NTD

Kaohsiung Mayor Chen Chi-mai announced at the '113th National High School Games Kaohsiung City Award Ceremony for Prize Winners' that next year's prize money will double, with gold medals increasing from the current 20,000 NTD to 40,000 NTD, and silver medals receiving a similar raise. Chen praised the outstanding performance of Kaohsiung's representative team, which won a total of 162 medals including 40 gold medals this year, highlighting achievements in weightlifting and setting new records in athletics. In addition to the prize money increase, special training assistance funds are available for the top three winners to encourage continuous efforts and improvement in performance.
